Mystery Blogger Award

img_4142-1

So like 5 years ago I got nominated for the Mystery Blogger Award. I know. It was a long time ago, but I’m ignoring the little voice in the back of my head that wants me to read Fanfiction instead of writing a blog post so be happy guys. Thank you to defyinggravityme for nominating me! THANK YOU!  This award was created by Okoto

The rules:

1. Put the award logo/image in your post.

2. List all the rules

3. Thank whoever nominated you and leave a link to their blog.

4. Mention the creater of the award

5. Tell your readers 3 things about yourself

6. Nominate 10-20 people

7. Notify each one of your nominees by commenting on their blog

8. Ask nominees any 5 questions of your choice; with a weird or funny question (specify)

9. Share the link to your best/favourite post of yours.

Three things about myself

  1. I have never worn makeup in my life
  2. I have been playing computer games since I was 2
  3. My friends think I have soft feet

My questions from Grace

  1. What is your favourite song?

I don’t necessarily have a favourite song, but I do enjoy anything Panic! At The Disco. Probably Hurricane or Ballad Of The Mona Lisa.

  1. Favourite food?

PIES! I LOVE MEAT PIES!

  1. Why did you start your blog?

Just for the lolz honestly. I saw Zoellas blog and was like, ‘You know what? I like her blog. Maybe I should start a blog.’ Then the little rebel side of me started talking and told me to make it so I did.

  1. Most embarrassing moment?

One time when I was 7 I went to go buy a Kit Kat and the lady at the register asked if I wanted a receipt. I had no idea what that was so I just stood there confused and looked around. Eventually she just gave it to me because people were lining up behind me.

  1. Favourite book?

Either Hunger Games, Divergent, The Maze Runner, The Amazing Book Is Not On Fire or Dan and Phil Go Outside.

I nominate:

Questions for my nominees

  1. What country do you live in?
  2. Do you watch YouTube? If so, who?
  3. Favourite blog?
  4. Dogs or cats?
  5. Favourite quote?

And that’s it. I’m sorry that it’s been like two months since I was nominated. I’ve been ‘busy’ and when I do have spare time I’m probably on Instagram. Which reminds me, if I was to make an Insta account dedicated to this blog, would you guys be interested?

I’ll leave you with that thought and I’m out.

Just a Few Pixels

Friday, February 24th
It’s been three days since I moved into the new house. I’ve slowly been getting my room into place. So far I’ve put half my books into my bookcase, and stuffed all my clothes into my wardrobe. I’ve still got lots to do, as well as keep up with school, and that’s proving to be a little hard. To take my mind off of it, I’ve been taking photos. Just of my surroundings and it makes me happy that I’ve been able to capture that memory with just a few pixels.
So I thought, I might share a few with you. Here are my absolute favorites.

This is a clock that hung off the back wall at my old house. On my phone that I took this picture on, I can just what type of filter the photo will turn out to be. So I tried Black and White, and this just looks really good to me. If you look closely, in the reflection you can see the trees and the corner of the house.

While I was at my Grandma’s house, I was waiting for the computer to boot so I took a photo of the keyboard and changed the saturation and shadows. It looks quite cool to me.

This is also at my old house. My dad is a bushy so he cut a tree log to turn it into a campfire stool. I took this on the last day of staying in the old house. I just have a thing for half blur and half focus. I don’t know why. I just do.

The elderly people who used to live here LOVED plants. They left this behind. I kinda like this because it is like a metaphor for life. ‘It’s okay to be unique’.

These are the first things I unpacked. These Youtubers hold great value to me, as they are my inspiration. My heros. My leaders. Zoella aka Zoë has such an amazing way of writing her life in the eyes of just another teenager. Her Girl Online books are actually a huge part of me wanting to start a blog. Connor Franta is my aesthetic. He is an amazing YouTuber with an even more amazing clothing choices. Caspar Lee is my go to back up guy if all others fail. He never disappoints me when I want to be cheered up, and along with Joe I stop breathing from my laughing fits. And finally. My mothereffing all time heroes. Dan and Phil. They are my everything. If I hadn’t of discovered them I would not be this person I am today. I would probably be depressed. I would not know what placenta is, or Tumblr, or Fanfiction, or the amazing world of ships! I might actually write about them in a different post so I won’t say too much!
I hope you’ve enjoyed these pictures that I’ve shared with you. They may not be the million dollar ones that I adore, but you wait. In a year they will be better than ever. Remind me to do that. I’ll forget.
How do you take your mind off of the world when you most need it? Does taking photos of your surroundings make you happy?

First Experience

I hate not knowing. Can I just say? I’m part of the music ensemble at my high school and whenever we go to a concert I’ve never been to (I’m only grade 8) I get really stressed and anxious. The inevitable thoughts of not knowing about how anything is going to run is something I REALLY hate.

So that’s why I got really anxious and scared when I had my first detention. This post will make me sound like a spoilt little brat who has perfect grades, but I promise I’m not.

Basically, with packing up for the new house I TOTALLY forgot to do my Science homework. Now that’s a little bit of a problem for me because I am in the academic academy which basically means I get added knowledge and work on top of the base Science. Sorry to swear, but my teacher is an absolute bitch. She thinks that if she says it once we are all going to remember it. NAH BRAH!

So when she asked for my homework I did a nervous shuffle and said I didn’t have it. She yelled and said I had to stay after school and ‘have a chat’. We did and she said I had a 15 minute detention the next day, but if I completed it, only 5. Guess what? I did it… And left it at home. *little round of applause for me*.

She wasn’t very happy to say the least. So we had another ‘little chat’. This time about what I wrote on my ‘letter to her’. We were meant to say about what we found interesting about Science and the world around us. Well I had no interest in it WHATSOEVER and I prefer the world around us containing mysteries and wonder. Not all the science around us.

She asked me if I had talked to my Year Level Coordinator about dropping out of the Science Academy, but I said no. “Well if you have no interest in learning about the Science of the universe, why are you here in the academy?” “Because my parents told me to.”

I don’t know how or why, but her mean face went and on came the understanding face. “Okay, well if you keep up with your homework and hand it in, you can fly under the radar.” She got up and walked off, leaving me to sit in silence.

I was so confused at her sudden act of kindness. But that doesn’t mean I like her. I still hate the f outta her.

I don’t know what this was. It was just a little random insight to my life.

Hey if you have any interesting detention stories I would love to hear them in the comments!

Old To New

Saturday, January 28

Hi guys! I’m really sorry about not being on for a few weeks. Lacking inspiration and self esteem but I am happy and smiling now. You may be wondering. Old to new? What are you talking about.

Basically my family is moving. Not towns or cities or anything like that. Just houses. From one side of town to the other. You never know. Maybe once we get settled in, in a few weeks, I’ll show you little snippets of my room and outside. Not a full room tour or house tour. But maybe just a little desk tour, or ‘Things That Make Me… ME!’

Someone remind me to make that a blog post.

BACK TO THE POINT!

Old to new. People…humans. A lot of us don’t like to change things. Whether it be family, houses, towns, makeup routines, even hair for some of us.

But it is something we all need to do. One day, we will all move out of home. Forcefully or on your own terms.

There are things I don’t like about moving and this new home. While moving you need to pack things up, eat less to save money and room, obey your parents while they’re stressed. Then having to unpack.

The new house has little, if any yard. You know the pitch in the middle of the cricket oval? It’s about half the size of that. If half. Probably even shorter. There’s a huge shed for my dad to be in all his glory, wheelchair access for my 16 year old dog, gaming room for my brother and fully air-conditioned for my mum.

What about me? Well I have a huge room so I don’t really care about anything else. As long as I have a power socket, WiFi and my tablet, I’m fine.

Anyway, I’ve been rambling for way too long, so I’ll be leaving. I might even write a new post just because I feel like writing and I feel bad for not uploading in a while.

A Lot Of Travelling

Sunday, January 15

For the last eight days, my family and I have been on the road. Living in Australia, there’s always plenty of things to explore. In this post I’m going to outline some of my favorite places so far.

Accommodation~

Accommodation wise, so far I have loved Beechworth. Located in Victoria, it is a small and old town. On every street there is small cobbled houses, stores and roads. The people are so kind, and there is a cute little bakery just down the street from where we stayed, which was the Carriage Motor Inn.

It had a cabin feel about it. The roof had slats hanging down with an old fashioned fan. The beds were comfy and had all the essentials included. A toaster, microwave, TV, Espresso Machine and fridge were all ready to go and you had the option to use a DVD player from Reception. And yes. Before you go asking, there was WiFi.

Attractions~

The main reason my family went south is because we wanted to go to Sovereign Hill. Located in Bendigo, it tells the story about the gold diggers and the gold rush.

A quick backstory for the non Australians here

We stayed there for three days, two nights. While at Sovereign Hill, we did things like, mine tours, horse carriage rides, watch gold get made, get boiled candy, pan for gold and my most favorite, BLOOD ON THE SOUTHERN CROSS.

I don’t want to spoil too much, so I’ll just say, that Blood On The Southern Cross is about a battle. Lips closed.

One thing I really liked about Sovereign Hill, is the enthusiasm. Everyone who works there, wore typical attire for the time period. Women wore dresses and men wore old beaten up clothes. Policemen roamed the streets, arresting tourists and even people who worked there. I saw one policeman hit a gold panner over the head for not having a license. (Don’t worry they were staff members).

In the room we stayed in, it had a fridge, sink and bunk beds. Sadly no WiFi, as not to spoilt the experience I suppose.

Your Inspiration

Wednesday, January 11

For all you Zoella fans, you will know that she has released the final book in her trilogy, Girl Online, Girl Online: Going Solo. The main character Penny, as well as facing other problems, also has to battle her photography for something ‘uniquely Penny’.

Finding something uniquely you can vary from one week to twenty years or even more. As long as your passionate, and love what you do, you can get there. Hannah Hoffman, a Youtuber, specialising in digital art, said that she found her style by just copying other amazing drawers. Hannah would just change things she didn’t like.

For anything you do, you need to find your style. Whether it be a blog, YouTube video, or even new glasses product. The maker has found their style and inspiration, and is willing sharing to share it with the world.

Which is what I am doing. I have been keeping a diary, and based on some blogs and writing styles I really like, I have been keeping a diary based on them. I’ve found my inspiration and now I am willing to share my creation – this blog – with the world so that you can find your inspiration.

I hope you are all having a wonderful day, and that soon, you can find your inspiration.
